STOP EATING ON THE GO...

acupuncture for digestion

Eating while standing, moving or working will interfere with your digestion. These will stimulate our sympathetic fight or flight nervous system, which is the opposite to the parasympathetic rest and digest that we want for healthy gut function.

It’s not always WHAT you’re eating that is upsetting your gut. HOW you eat plays a big role in your gut health and whether you experience digestive symptoms.

Be more mindful when eating. Chew your food thoroughly. Enjoy it with good company. Eat outside when possible. Be grateful for all the plants, animals and people involved in bringing you that meal.

When working with digestive issues we don’t want to stop at what foods to avoid. We want to work to create a healthier internal environment where digestion just happens without bloating, reflux, constipation, diarrhoea or anything else. Where you can eat and enjoy yourself without paying for it.

Chinese medicine and acupuncture has a long history of working with people who suffer IBS, reflux, bloating, food sensitivities, and all kinds of gut issues.
